Missionaries Come to Hawaii

The missionaries first came to the Hawaiian Islands in the year 1820 on the thirtieth day of March. These Missionaries came on boats across the ocean to spread the word of god, introduce trading, and health factors that the Hawaiians hadn't known of. The missionaries also brought new supplies and animals and plants to Hawaii to be introduced. Some of these species were invasive and have greatly change the natural environment for the native animals and plants. The missionaries mainly spread the word of God, and Jesus, to the Hawaiians, changing their beliefs and their culture. The missionaries had a dramatic impact in the overthrow and caused a great deal of good and bad things to the original Hawaiian culture.
